Finally learn to play the piano and discover the joy of making music from a teacher with 20+ years.
My Studio started in 2013 as a small home studio teaching local students in the neighborhood. Since then, has grown to not only teaching music from Beginner to Advance but also teaching students how to sing, produce music, perform and record music professionally. Currently, Jamil has two studios. A Piano Studio in Aberdeen and a Recording Studio in Baltimore.
About Me
I have five children, and I began teaching my eldest to play the piano when she was just three. Now in high school, I find immense joy in listening to her play and watching her perform with the school band. I serve as the Youth Choir Director at St. Stephen's Church, where I've directed various choirs, from youth to seniors, for over ten years. I take pride in teaching students of all ages there as well. Learning music is not only enjoyable and challenging, but it also supports brain development. Music can alleviate stress and enhance self-confidence. I've witnessed the remarkable growth of my young students as they learn to play solo, collaborate with other musicians, and reap the many benefits of music education. I'm especially proud of two of my former students who have advanced to college for music. I believe in helping students experience the joy of creating music by providing them with a strong foundation of knowledge and skills for success, introducing them to inspiring music, and offering ongoing positive encouragement. While having a solid technical foundation is essential, I also prioritize developing proficient reading skills; however, neither is effective if students aren’t enjoying the journey.
